100…

100.
100 jobs.
This is in our heart…
To SOMEHOW create 100 jobs???
In the midst of great oppression and darkness…
God is giving us windows into souls…
Windows of revelation…
And HOPE is taking its rightful place again here in Costa Rica.
IMG_3075If you come visit this beautiful, little land…
It will take your breath away…
The beauty…
FullSizeRender (30)And the mess.
IMG_3109You will encounter extreme poverty…
But most likely…
You will NOT encounter beggars.
MOST of the hearts here are longing for jobs, better jobs, and more honorable working conditions.

One of our sisters here…
Is a single mother with chronic health conditions.
She works 8-9 hour shifts everyday mostly without a day off.
She makes around $2 an hour and spends her evenings going to school with the hopes that she might have a better job someday.

She is just one life… one life we love… one life we so desperately want to change.

With each new day, we are are invited into deeper relationship…
IMG_3058Greater revelation is given and what feels like suffocating desire continues to rise up.

In the midst of the learning, I find myself asking questions…
Questions I have never had to ask before.
Questions like…
*How do we live in a world that only pays $2 or $3 an hour for hard labor?
*How am I surrounded by people that cannot afford a Bible?
*How is it ok for the people with money to have all the power?
*How do the people around me… whose lives are truly excruciating, still have HOPE?

I have few answers, but this I know…
He has solutions.
And we are some of them.
FullSizeRender (29)We are still praying and seeking…
What does this look like?
How in the world do we provide 100 jobs when we ourselves are seeking sustainability?
It’s radically humbling to offer…
edited picAnd both share and teach out of what feels so unstable.
IMG_3060I take great comfort in the fact that God loves to work with lack, impossibilities, small beginnings and radical love.
FullSizeRender (27)Adam and I feel crazy… so under qualified…
Yet force-fully DETERMINED to do WHATEVER it takes…
Even if it means we look like total failures.
We have come to take back what the locusts have eaten.
We have come to partner in the rebuilding.
FullSizeRender (28)Perhaps this is what love is meant to feel like?
Love propelling us outside of comfort…
Like offering crumbs so that the multitudes might have meals.
IMG_3059To do nothing would never be an option.
The ache for change is indescribable…
What joy to shift generations through love!

100.
An impossible task…
One we pray will be made possible by The God of impossibilities.
Please partner in praying for the miraculous.
100… may it be so… and more!

Confidently motioning forward in humble expectation.
