“Oh my!!!”
Those words pretty much sum up what my mouth has been exhaling over the last week.
We are still VERY MUCH in transition.
House, hearts, minds, bodies and bellies…
All working to adapt.
We haven’t meant to keep you in the dark… we’ve just been under piles… literally!
For fun I thought I would share some snapshots of my new world.
In order to keep this post more brief, my grumpy face, afraid face, freak-out face, weepy face, overwhelmed face, and I want to run face have been omitted.
If you know me well, you have already seen all these faces.
So here we go!
Here’s a few “my’s.”
My neighbor and yard fertilizer
My Smalls and my house…
My one fruit tree…
Giant yay for free food!
My red faced, lil mister…
(It stays about 90ish degrees in our home!)
My bathroom decor-reminder, kindly left by the previous owners…
I really, really, REALLY miss (flashing) toilet paper.
My new phone…
(Apparently landlines are back , who would’ve thought?)
“Hola,” from Em!
My front gate…
My country…
My eyes’ favorite market…
My wallet’s preference…
My typical dinner…
My awe and wonder…
My town…
My view from our first church service…
My playground…
My new pets…
My favorites and their new bunks…
After 2+ months, they are happy to be sleeping off the floor.
These are just a few of my snapshots.
Hope it helps you see a glimpse of our lives.
One final thought that the pics cannot adequately communicate…
After a week and a half of living in another country…
I continue to walk in mystery.
I’m spending serious hours being a missionary to my own heart these days…
Fanning hope’s flame.
It’s tiresome work.
Surely this is equipping me for something.
For I know He never wastes, and He is ALWAYS faithful!
Blessings on behalf of The Backwards Missionaries,
Kelly
